Pastor Scott was born in Indiana and raised in the small town of Cambridge City. Having grown up there, his deep-rooted Hoosier roots shine through in his love for basketball and unwavering support for the Indiana Pacers.
After graduating from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education and a minor in Music, Pastor Scott started in ministry as a youth pastor. In 2004, he moved to Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, where he worked in urban ministry and outreach with another denomination.
In 2009, he earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. Then, in 2012, he returned to the United Methodist Church and got his Licensed Local Pastor license in 2016, beginning work as a bivocational pastor.
He has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 13 years. They have four grown children: Theo, Eddie, Ashlynn, and Max, and several grandcats.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, often watching movies or taking walks. Pastor Scott’s dad lives in Indiana, and they always make sure to visit and spend time together. Music is a big part of his life, having played drums since he was eight and teaching himself guitar as an adult.
I’m passionate about ministry and finding new ways to connect with people. I enjoy looking for creative ways to share the love of Christ and make a difference in the lives of others.
