VBS THURSDAYS 2023
We hope you will join us this year for Lightstreet United Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School! VBS Thursdays will be held every Thursday night from 6-8pm from June 15th-August 17th in the Lighthouse, skipping July 13th when Lightstreet has the Firemen’s carnival. We look forward to seeing you again!!
VBS Thursdays has 2 separate programs:
- The Jesse Tree: What is it and what does it mean for our Christian faith? The Jesse Tree lessons are for age 3 through grade 4. Prepare to be thrilled with great songs by Lightstreet’s Praise Band along with Bible stories, games, snacks and crafts.
- Fruit of the Spirit is for middle school and high school students. The lessons and activities were very popular in 2022 and the group leaders are excited to prepare yummy foods and link those to the Fruit of the Spirit. High school and middle school students often feel “too old” for Vacation Bible School. The leaders are well aware and have formulated the program to get your kids excited about their faith. We are growing life-long learners; life-long disciples of Christ.
The registration form is on the church website (www.LightstreetUMC.org) or contact the church office to obtain a form. The back page has a list of all the Thursdays that VBS will meet. Please put a check mark next to the dates your child/children will most likely be able to attend. Thank you for trusting us with your kids and their spiritual education. Our volunteers have Pennsylvania clearances and United Methodist MinistrySafe training. The VBS Thursdays staff are looking forward to seeing you in June!
